Hi All,

Let me start off by saying that I am a total newbie when it comes to wiring anything.  But I wanted to put an alarm on my 2000 Wrangler and I chose the crimestopper 2003dc because I found it for 50 bucks and it has everything I wanted.  I also purchased a set of 5 wire door actuators, to hook up to my new alarm to have keyless entry on my jeep, which isn't seen very often.  Now here is my problem, I got the alarm all wired up, no problem, that was easier than I thought, however I cannot get my new door locks to work with the alarm.  I have an actuator in each door that has a 5 wire harness, green, blue, white, brown, and black.  These wires come in from the actuators and join in a Y that leads to a box that supposedly has built in relays.  It also has a Fused power wire on it that leads to 12v+ constant.  There are also a brown and white wire that come off the relays that function for a switch if you so desire, which I do not.  I just want the remote control to operate the doors.  Now I also have a door control module built into the alarm that has a wire harness with green, blue, white, brown and violet wires on it.  The violet wire is wired to constant 12v+ or ground depending on your door locks switch.  Now this is the part I am stuck on.  What kind of switch is it?  I am a total newb at this and do not under stand the different types of switches and probably should have left this to a professional, but you gotta start somewhere right?  Here is what I know about the switch, when the door locks are in a locked state, there is positive 12v+ grounded coming from the white wire straight out of the door actuator relay, when I ground this wire out, the doors unlock.  Now when the doors are unlocked if I run 12v+ to the brown wire coming from the relay the doors lock.  Now this leads me to believe that in the wire harness on the alarm there should be one wire that is given 12v+ when it is armed, which I would hook to the brown wire and then there should be a wire that is given a ground when it is disarmed that I would hook to the white wire.  However this is not the case, none of the wires on the door lock module of the alarm have power when the system is armed.  So that no matter how I have the wires hooked up, when I arm and disarm the alarm the doors do not lock or unlock.  It is almost like the alarm doesn't know how to control the locks.  Is this enough info for someone to tell me what is wrong here?  Is there anything you need to know in order to help?  All help is greatly appreciated as I have been working on this for 2 days now.  It is time to seek help!  ;)

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I think the door actuator kit was from telsor or tesor or lesor?  Something like that.  Just a cheap 5 wire door actuator kit for front doors only.

did you order the lock motor as a kit...or separate??
sounds like you have a central door lock kit. what is the output on your alarm for the door locks??
Good Luck

The door actuators were ordered as a kit, 2 actuators, wire harness, built in relays.  The alarm was ordered seperately.  I am not sure what the output is from the alarm for the door locks.  Looks like there is a wire for the lock switch, lock motor, unlock switch, unlock motor and either power or ground depending on the switch the door locks run on.  Sorry if this is not the info you need, like I said I am pretty new at this and do not understand all of the terminology yet.  Thank you though for the quick post.  If there is another way I can get the info you need please let me know, like any tests I can run with a volt meter to get the right info.

Thanks,

Chris

you will be better off if you can get rid or exchange the 5-wire actuators for 2-wire ones. You will still need 2 relays for them to work properly, however it would be much easier than using the 5-wire actuators.
