remote start wont start, 2001 eclipse

I just installed a Python 714 on a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse spyder( with an ExpressKit ). Now that Im done the only thing it does is lock/unlock doors,and lights flash. I have checked brakeswitch and hood pin. It doesnt even try to start or turn on the ignition.....Any Ideas????

Check your over ride switch or neutral saftey wire. Should be hooked to and show ground. Did you use your own hood pin or tap onto the factory? Some factory hood pins give me problems. Did you program tach? needs to be done before it will try to start.

When you try to remote start...How many flashes are there...? Did you go with tach or tach-less option...? Answering howie's question should cover the rest...Do you have a DMM(meter)...?
