Im not sure on which to pick and i wanted some good advice.

what do you think would sound better and be louder in an Ext. Cab Dakota in a ported box.

and if you have a suggestion for an amp for either setup you choose

i would go with the comp. vr's. even though they are smaller, there are 2 of them and i used to have two of these in my truck and they would pound. i put them in a sealed box with a 1000 watt DHD amp and never had a problem out of them

I've got a single L5 15 and the thing pounds. I'm getting my other L5 in about three weeks and I can't wait. I believe the two 12's will give you more cone area, but I think you'll be more satisfied with the L5 and about 700 rms to it.

greenbroncoguy, thats the same sub setup i have it sounds great doesnt it.......i also have a 4ch alpine amp to power my polk ex3's and pioneer 6.5's

I think the CompVRs sound nicer personally, and they will be a bit more responsive than the L5...

heh, you dont have to listen to me though, because I think a square sub is tacky...that and the fact that I welded the voice coil of a 15L7 back when they first came out and have had zero respect for them since then...
