I've read several post regarding this topic but haven't found my answer. The question is I've located the Clarion amps one for the front the other for the rear. The rear I'd like to bypass using the factory wiring, does anyone know thw or have the wiring diagram for or from the amp? I tried removing the harness and jumping the wires to the speaker but nothing happens other than a few scratchy noises depending on which wires get touched.

Thanks

Do you have access to a tone generator? Also what is the exact make/model and year?

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/1639.html this should still be the wire colors from the amps output to the speakers, but using a toner or multimeter should determine the wire color for the preouts, let me know what you get?

Using the standard harness in the front you will be able to identify the rear preouts wire color, then at the amp cut the ingoing high level preout wires as well as the speaker output wires from amp and connect for the bypass, from there you should be able to identify the final 4 wires you need to know for the front high level preouts.

So now that my rear speakers have been replaced and play nicely I need to connect a sub and amplifier. The installation instructions state run power to the battery the questions are this. Is there a suitable power supply in the rear compartment? If not how do you get the wire through the firewall and into the engine compartment?

Thanks,

1995 Pathfinder

SE V6

SLOVED, for those that may be dealing with running power from the battery here is the easiest path. Look at the firewall from the front of the vehicle, locate the heater hoses just to the left of the motor behind the exhaust manifold. They run through the wall and have a rubeer gromet surround. Insert a wire hanger through the gromet about 6-8". Then from the passenger side of the firewall look to the left of the heater box up in the foot well and viola. Attach you wire(s) and pull from engine side!

Once I found it it was the easiset thing yet for my amp install!

I have a 95 pathfinder with a Dual XHD6425 HU connect through a scoshce unit. It works fine but I bypassed the facotry amp to the rear and installed a a,plified sub which also works. But the auto antenna no longer works. Does anyone know the color wire for the remote wire, where to find it or connect it?

Thanks,

Allen
