Trying to see if anyone knows of any type of passive alarm that works off a card/remote that will lock/arm and unlock/disarm using a passive remote. I know there are a few out there but having problems finding them.

There are a few out there - the best I have played with is a Digital Guard Dawg unit - very consistent and always unlocks before you try to open the door.  Every other unit I've tried sometimes you stand next to the door for a few seconds waiting for it to recognize you.

It's actually not just a keyless entry unit, it is a keyless ignition system as well.  Google should be able to turn up some results - I know the admin here isn't too fond of direct links.

They can't.
Many of the "keyless" ignition systems today recommend removing your ignition cylinder (and the mechanical locking connection to the column). This leaves you with no back up or fail safe should you lose the remote or if something should break.
On my G35 I actually bypassed the locking plunger to disable it.
