hi :

I have my 94 stang with a viper 300 alarm installed when new , needed new remotes recently and got some off ebay , dealer where I installed the alarm sys.no longer in buisness. , wanted to program them , found some insturctions on how to , but not too clear. does anyone have clear instrctions on how to program these remotes?also I have a toggle switch instead of a momentary button if this helps a bit.......

the switch is the same thing as the button, but if you have to push the button, simply flick the siwtch to on.

i dont deal with dei much so cant give you a full walk through, but the older viper systems were easy to add/dump remotes.

Go to the "Downloads" section of this site. Search on "Viper 300". There are two guides available, one for the 300 ESP and one for the 300+. Hopefully one of these is the correct one for your alarm system.

The button they describe is momentary while your switch might be on/off. You might need to do a quick toggle on the switch to simulate the button...

Can you get the "date code" off the back of the control module? It will be two little "wheels" stamped into the bottom of the case.

thanks everyone for your help, downloaded the instruction manual from the "Downloads" section of this site , and bought a momentary switch to replace the toggle one I have installed and will atempt to program soon. I will post if all does not go according to plan.

You cant replace the toggle with a momentary, it requires a toggle. That system is probably "scratch coded".
