Save the file to your desktop (or wherever you want) and open it with MS Paint.

Hi, can anyone help me out? I have a 96 Jeep and i cant figure out which wire to use for the door switch. Only one has power when the door is open. Also the led blinks twice saying the hood or trunk is tripped and i dont even have them hooked up

Do you have the Alpine 8040 alarm??
Would you have the manual ?
I could use a copy of it if you do.!
If you have the manual can you arm the alarm with out having the radar system on?
If so try that and see if the alarm dose not trigger 20 seconds later.
Or most alarm systems once triggered and then disarmed can report the trip circuit by flashiing the lights or horn honks.
Check your manual.
You could try with the hood up take a clip lead and close the switch for the hood by jumpering across it.
Do this to each sw one at a time and see if you have a bad switch.
