eclipse avx5000 repair

I am an installer and I jus put a dvd player in my girls car that she bought off some kid. the problem is the motorization of the screen dosent work so it dont open or close. does anybody work at a shop or get me info on a shop where i can possibly send this to get repaired. I'de rather jus fix this unit if possibly instead of dropping the money to get a new 1Nick Miller

Eclipse will not sell a part to anyone.  It has to go back to them to get it repaired.  In the case that it needs no parts to repair it, a lot of shops will not even attempt it, because who wants to spend an hour looking at it only to find out you need a part that you can not obtain.

Tell your girl to go back to the kid she bought it off of and get the original proof of purchase from him.Support the12volt.com

As an additional comment on Eclipse. I bought a CD 5030 head unit featuring built - in bluetooth. I purchased it from a registered /approved on line dealer(Crutchfield's). The unit is great, but the microphone has crapped out, and I find that a replacement  is unavailable from Eclipse's warranty company in Norte Americano. I am hearing that the model has been discontinued. The unit is great, but one of the features that drove me to buy this H U will no longer work. I'm hoping that I can drop a few bucks on a repalcement mic at a local electronics store. Bottom line is; this snafu may have ECLIPSED the reason  I purchased a "mighty" brand such as this.
