I just bought a 2005 Dodge Dakota. I am trying to find a wire harness so I can put a after market cd/mp3 player in but I cant find one at any store, they all go up to 2004 dakota. The one I found online is like 59 bucks (http://www.installer.com/item/display_item.php?it=XSVI-6502) the rest at the stores are like 10 bucks, why is this one so much? Is it what I need?

The item on the link you posted is not necessary.
The item on the link provides a 12V + Acc for the harness. This makes no sense since the standard wiring harness has this wire already.
go with the basic one.
LINK to 05 Dakota
You will find all the part numbers on the link from different brands.

are you sure? it might actually need the data plug. just because the wire regular wire harness has a red wire in it doesn't mean it will match up to the factory harness. i see that all the time in GM cars with data. and after just looking it up on directechs they say it needs the data plug too.
now, if you want to do some extra work and save the money on the data plug you should be able to use the normal plug but you will need to run a wire from the red wire of radio to a switched 12v source, possibly the cigarette lighter or main ignition harness. but if you are new to this kind of extra work i would suggest just get the data plug.
