doinig a install on my bro inlaws lincoln mark VII and i got the grills in the back off super eazy i can only get 1 of the 2 pieces of the frony grills off wonder if a specialty tool is required or full doorpanel removal is requierd ??

Shop manual for '97 Mark VIII says to remove the door panel to access the speaker.
Trim Panels, Door
Removal and Installation
Remove rear view mirror mounting hole cover (17K709).
Remove inside door handle cup (22634).
Remove door lock control bezel.
Remove window regulator switch plate (14524).
Remove interior lamp lens (13734).
Remove screw from interior lamp opening.
Remove screw from window regulator switch plate opening.
Disconnect window regulator jumper wire (14A630) from outside rear view mirror control (17B676), seat regulator control (14776), and front door lock switch (14017).
Disconnect window regulator jumper wire from luggage compartment remote control lock switch (19C542) (driver door only).
Lift front door trim panel (23942) vertically, out of weatherstrip and over door latch control rod knob (21850).
Disconnect interior lamp (13776) from window regulator jumper wire.
Remove front door trim retention hooks into door inner panel. Remove front door trim panel.
To install, reverse Removal procedure, paying special attention when inserting front door trim panel into weatherstrip. Rock front door trim panel into weatherstrip and push downward until lower trim belt character ditch lines up with score mark on inner door panel.
