I am an idiot; tomorrow morning I'll check the voltage and I'll let you know.

soundnsecurity; I bench tested my soundstream eq (MPQ-5XO) with my ipod and it worked; I'll check for shorted wires tomorrow. Thank you guys.

I am an idiot; I was going to check the voltage on my HU and eq when I saw that the remote wire was pinched, so I changed the wire, connected both the HU and the eq together and now my system is working again.

soundnsecurity; you were right, the remote wire was shorted! Thank you guys for all your help.
