remote start troubleshooting

i have a manual 99 camaro with a viper 5701 installed everything works on the alarm side but i can't figure out what im doing wrong for the remote start. after i try to set it so that i can remote start it it flashes or beeps 7 times. what should i check? any help is appreciated

for manual transmissions you need the clutch bypassed, along with having the footbrake, e-brake, and tach connected. If all that is true, you need to put it in the MTS mode by doing this - while the vehicle is running, hold the foot brake, engage the e-brake, and then release the footbreak. Then hit the remote start button on the remote. You should get a parking light confirmation and the vehicle will stay running after you remove the keys. step out, close the door, and the car will shut down after you hit the lock button. It can now be remote started.
