07 3.5TL.  While i was trying to hookup the led strip to the door courtesy light, I accidentally touched the 2 wires of the light together.  Now the Courtesy light no longer work.  I tested the power using the test light.  There is electric coming onto the wires.  I checked the fuses and they are all fine.  I don't know what to do next.  Can anyone help me to figure out what's wrong so I can fix?
 THanks alot.

If you have 12 volts across the 2 wires, a bad bulb comes to mind.

I used other bulbs but they won't come on.  One more thing, I had the bulb plug in and it won't come on.  SO I used the test light to probe the socket and hold it, the light comes on but very weak.  What is the mystery?

You have blown the grounding circuit whether it be the door switches or wires ELSE whatever circuit controls the lamp (eg, dimmer circuit).

I found the problem but haven't fixed it yet.  It's the door trigger wire that burnt up.  There is no ground for this courtesy light.
