power source for flip down monitor dvd

I havent installed a car radio since the early 90s, but i know the basics, i recently purchased a flip down dvd monitor, after i snake the wires what power source should i use, the flip down has the red,yellow and blk, wires, it also has a blue wire for the  monitor door.   should i use the fuse box, i have never done that but i heard about the brown wire.. any ways, can some one point me to the right direction  thank you
