adding 5 wire switch to aftermarket keyless

i need help real quick! i installed 4 actuators and a ungo k20 keyless entry system in a 2005 civic dx sedan. the owner wants me to add a 5 wire reverse polarity switch so they can controll the locks inside the car too. i wired it directly into the blue and green wires for the actuators and it worked but it blew the keyless entry fuse. do i have to use relays to isolate them or is there a easier way to make this work?

Use a 5 wire window switch aka DPDT, momentary. Available from Spal as window switches, you may be able to buy one without the window markings.

does the ungo have on board relays? or only low current outputs? did you add the switch as a primary or secondary? it should be secondary. see attached pic This information is provided only as a reference.

Actually, if you had to add relays, then simply a 1 pole change over momentary contact switch will do.

I'm not suggesting that he adds relays. I have no experience with the k20 but from his post it seems it had on board relays. If he already had the 5 write switch, he would need to install it as shown as the secondary switch.This information is provided only as a reference.

I'm sorry 91, I just jumped in without thinking about the set-up which to me in hindsight wasn't explained too well.

I quite agree, also with your first post ref the second (right side) switch that's exactly how a Spal (or DAV) switch is wired.

okay, yeah i figured it out. there were on board relays. i changed the input for the relays to ground then wired up some external relays and made the 5 wire switch a 3 wire ground switch. now it works perfectly. thanks for looking into this tough. pretty simple answer i should have known... it was a long day...

Waste of time and money, you should have left it as original and used a 5 wire switch as 91st said. It's exactly the same as wiring satellite switches when installing power windows.
