I am in the process of building a box for 3 Focal 27a 11" subs. I've been using Blaubox for over a decade now but am looking for a 2nd opinion on box size for this interesting driver. Here are the speaker specs and what I've modeled:

QTS: .44

FS: 39 hz

VAS: 21.43 Liters

XMax: 6mm

Cone: 20.5cm

Peak Power: 500w

From the looks of things I'm thinking a 1.25cu ft box single vented at 35hz per sub. I will be driving these guys pretty hard with an Eclipse DA7122 Monoblock so power is not a problem :)

do one in a ported box, one in a seal box, and one in a bandpass box. That way u can't choose wrong... am i right?

LOL. don't take the above seriously.

your numbers look good. Just be sure that you have a sub sonic filter.

hahahaha... Reading that after a pitcher at hooters is epic! Not a bad idea but I think it'll stick to a ported box. I appreciate the feedback and will post pics once I finish glassing my box :)

Anyone else have a bright idea? :P
