Where is the best place to tap into an 81 corvette for the actual remote start wire (purple on Autopage). The manual says between the nuetral safety switch and the key (like every other car). The problem , i think is that the neutral safety switch is on the sterring colum and very hard to get to. Also need help with OEM door lock wiring;someone wired them with speaker wire and is a mess.

Thanks

no the guy took it to mexico to be worked on and they used speaker wire to wire up the locks;bypassing all of the factory wires.so, where i would normally tap the positive lock unlock are inactive.

I am assumming i would have to tap the yellow start wire right out of the key after dropping the steering shaft?

thanks for the info
