I'm installing a Python 991 on a 2006 Toyota Corolla. Do I need to use a relay for the 2nd unlock signal or will the 200mA (-) be okay?

Providing you are going to the car's negative trigger 200mA well be fine.

If it is a negative multiplex (resistors) on the unlock I would guess you need a relay in order to be able to give a predictable level of resistance with a resistor (at least I guess this is why Clifford recommend using relays on their systems with 2 wire central locking control.

No it doesn't have multiplex locking. You've done a Polo with mux locking and very few cars have them. Your post isn't relevant.

Sorry hadn't meant my post to be misleading. Focused on the relay needed aspect in general, rather than the car (with which I only have experience of a handful as a newbie). 2 posters above are definitely the ones to take note of do i need a relay for 2nd door unlock? - Last Post -- posted image. do i need a relay for 2nd door unlock? - Last Post -- posted image.

Ok here's the way it really is. 2006 Corolla came two ways, with or without factory keyless entry. If it has it, the unlock pulse will unlock the drivers on the first pulse and the rest on the second(so no relay needed). If it doesn't have it, first pulse does nothing and the second pulse unlocks all doors. Use the wires from the key cylinder...
