Hey guys,

I was looking for some quick help.  I have a 2004 ford lightning (single cab truck).  I was looking to get a pair of 6.5 components but I was wondering if these will fit in the doors.  I know I will have to make a plate and cut a little bit of the door but I was wondering about depth issue.  I had a pair of these when I had my F-250 and there were no issues, I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if I will have issues witht the F-150.  The window track really is not but guess could be an issue.  Any help on the subject would be great.

Thanks for your time

Kris

i cant say they will just drop in with no problems but it should definitely work. try to put them i with the windows rolled down and you will quickly see if it will work or not. you may just have to make an adapter plate out of something thicker, i used 1/2 inch mdf for my adapters but i also have a ranger. the major problem that i ran into was the cone of the mid would rub against the door panel so i took some screws and put them around each mid so it would keep the door panel away from the mid, it makes it a little harder to put the door back on but it worked.
