01 ranger clutch bypass.

I have a viper 5902 alarm and i cannot figure out the clutch bypass. can somebody please tell me on what to do?

its  a 2001 Ford Ranger single cab. 2.5l 4 cylinder.

Can't find any info on the wiring guides and I don't do too many manual trans cars.   Looks like a job for a Digital Multi Meter.

At the clutch pedal, at the top, there should be some wires connected.  Might look similar to the setup on the brake pedal and the brake light wire.  Usually, it's a normally open circuit.  When the clutch pedal is depressed to the floor it will close the circuit and allow either a+12v or a ground thru.  Use the DMM to figure out exactly what happens and then use a relay to close the circuit ( connect the two wires ) when the Viper outputs the Start signal.

well there are 6 pins and i found out that pin 5 and 6 if i run a jumper between them that i can get it to start via remote but it can start with out the clutch even with out doing it via remote start. so how can i go about wiring it so only the alarm can trigger the jumper or whats in mind.

By the way thinks for the help.

Get a 30/40A SPDT  relay.  Wire as follows:

Relay Pin 85 to Viper Remote Start Aux Output 5 Pin connector Pin 3 Violet (-) 200 mA Starter Output  ( assuming it is presently not used )

Relay Pin 86 thru 2A fuse to +12V constant.

Relay Pin 30 to one of the "jumpered" wires at the clutch switch.

Relay Pin 87 to the other "jumpered" wire at the clutch switch.

Relay Pin 87a not used - insulate.

The only time the "jumper" will be active is when the Viper is outputting a Start.  The rest of the time the clutch switch will work normally.
