I just bought an 07 civic ex and want to replace the components because they sound terrible to me. I personally haven't switched out the components in this model civic before and I was wondering if it would be tough to modify the stock tweeter mount. It is right under the windshield. I believe the stock size is 1in and the kicker qs are 1.25, so I think I am going to have make the hole bigger.
Has anyone replaced these and try to modify it for a larger tweeter? I can get the rs which has a 1 in tweeter if it is going to be insanely hard to modify that.

Not hard at all... You can either make a custom mount out of plastic that fits back in there... or go the easy route and hot glue the tweeter in. Depends on if you want to be able to remove them later.
