With the Key-override-ALL you don't need to cut the brake wire. With the older Key-override-SL2, it will still work on the car, but you need to cut the brake wire and install a relay. Its only a few dollars more for the key-override-ALL and its makes for an easier/cleaner install.

Sorry, I quickly read your question and as a result mis-read it... I also looked at the idatalink's comparable module (KO) and read the install directions and you are correct, they are not cutting the brake wire. They install a relay on it but no cutting.

I'm hoping the Fortin will allow for that 45 second take over option. I want to do the Viper 5701 and Viper Smart Start together if I can. I will call them shortly. I wish someone on these forums was willing to do side work. If they were I prolly have atleast 3 cars to get done maybe even 5. If anyone is interested you can text me:
