I have a question about proper wire guage size when wiring multiple amps.  I considered running 1/0 from battery for power to a block and down sizing to #4 to my four amps. Then running four seperate #4 grounds back to chassis. Does anyone have any input. Or should I run four #4 for power instead? thanks

Post your amplifier specifications all 4 of them.
Once your figure out the total watts you can figure the current needs using ohms law to size your main power cable. At this point I think you should also take into account how much power you Alternator are putting out to see if you can deliver the correct power off your alternator. If not then you might think about using a different amplifiers or a larger alternator.
Post your amp specification first
