I have 5 wire reverse locks in my car, and I have never installed an alarm before....but have done plenty of car audio.

I was wondering if anyone has done an alarm with keyless entry on a 97 cavalier...

If so, can u help me get started, I understand about the regular power, ground, accessory, but the using the relays and I believe I need a diode somewhere, I don't quite understand yet...any help would be appreciated, thanx.

Hi padawan, use this relay diagram for 5 wire door locks: https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#5w

Here's what I have for a '97 Cavalier: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1997&make=Chevrolet&model=Cavalier&ID=17400&type=Alarm

You'll need to use two diodes to isolate your door triggers.
