doors unlock when remote started

I have a 09 Nissan Rogue with Python Responder One remote start installed. I used the ads bypass. Everything is hooked up and the RS works great. The only problem is while starting it unlocks the doors, and they stay unlocked. Does this have something to do with the unlock/disarm functions being on the same wire? How do I get the doors to stay locked while the car is running?

Did you connect both the Unlock and Disarm outputs from the Python to the iDatalinks' UnLock/Disarm wire?

Most remote start units output a disarm signal prior to starting the car.  That Disarm pulse going to the iDatalinks Unlock/Disarm wire will unlock the doors.  If the Rogue has a Factory alarm, it shouldn't go off with a remote start.

With the ADS AL CA, the remote starts Lock and UnLock outputs do the locks and the arm / disarm function.  No need to connect both sets of signals to the bypass.

No, probably not, if you only connected the Pythons Unlock wire to the iDatalinks Unlock/Disarm wire.  Is this statement accurate, the Pythons' Unlock output goes to only the iDatalinks' Unlock/Disarm wire and the Pythons Disarm output is not connected to anything?  If you wired it this way, then I am not sure why the car would unlock before the engine remote started.  My guess was the most plausible thought that the Pythons' Disarm wire was connected to the iDatalink Unlock/Disarm wire. 

There are no "options programming" or settings on the iDatalink module.  It controls the locks and alarm thru the CAN Bus and only with the input signals ( Lock/Arm and Unlock/Disarm wires ) mentioned.  I am not familiar with the Python unit.  Any options programming there?

Ok. I wired the iDatalink's disarm/unlock to the RS disarm wire. After rereading your other post a couple times, it appears that I did misunderstand you. So... I need to use the RS unlock wire instead of the RS disarm wire. Correct?

Absolutely.  Just the Pythons lock & unlock to the iDatalink module.  Anytime the iDatalink sees a signal at its' Unlock/Disarm wire it will do both actions, unlock the doors and disarm the Factory Alarm system if present.Soldering is fun!
