ford fusion 2008 manual transm.

HI everyone, i got everything almost done just having a doorpin problem on the ready mode.

i found the solution but how do i wire the relay? any input will be appreciated, thanks!

DOORPIN

Blue

In driver's kickpanel

 R.A.P. SHUT DOWN  GREEN/ violet

In Blue plug at fuse/junction block under driver's side dash

This is the driver's doorpin and it rests at ground (-) with the door closed. Use a relay to open this wire which will simulate the door opening and shut down the radio.

ok ill explain it better!

my issue is that the auto dimmer/ doorpin section of the fusion is creating problems..

the doom light comes on after I do the final trigger for the ready mode remote sequence.
the sequence is this
while the car is running
1-put car in neutral
2-apply the parking brake
3-(within 20 sec) press start button on transmitter
4-parking light will flash 3 times
5-remove key (engine will continue to run)
6-exit vehicle and close door
7-press and hold stop button on the transmitter ( the car shuts down and goes into ready more[waitng for the signal to remote start the vehicle])
my problem is after step 7.. I press the button on the remote and the unit enters ready mode ( ready to recieve the command to start the vehicle) but after a 1 second delay the interior lights come back on and the unit thinks the car door has been opened and cancels the ready mode and the vehicle can not be remotly started.
is there something I missed? I used the blue wire in the drivers kick panel, tested it and 0V closed door(after 30s that interior lights turn off) and +12V when it is open and on the remote start unit I used the + door input ( as it states 0V when door closed and +4V or more when it is opend)

If you have a proper brand such as DEI, they do a DTI Mazda which would solve your problem. Your door triggers are neg when closed and open circuit when opened all a relay will do is flatten your battery.

Code Systems and Bulldog Security's websites state that there is a blue "all door trigger" wire in the driver's kick panel, so I would start there. The only thing is, Code Systems says POS and Bulldog says NEG. Use a digital meter to test it. Prostart has both types of door inputs so you should be all set once you find that wire. As a note, I believe Prostart is indirectly a DEI brand as DEI owns Autostart, who markets Prostart to be sold in Canadian Tire Stores.
