I have a 2005 escalade I just bought that has a wheelchair lift in it and I need remote start because the lift uses a lot of amps and I don't want a dead battery. I also need a remote to activate the lift. I like the viper smartstart because I would only need my phone and not all of the other remotes.
Is there any way to use the smartstart, prautogy or any other system to activate the lift and keep it activated for about 1.5 minutes while it opens? Can I modify the keyless entry to operate the lift?
I have this same lift in another vehicle and it works well I just have a lap full of remotes plus phone, I would like something cleaner on this car.

Yes it's possible depending all on how it works. should be pretty simple. what do you have to do in order to activate the lift normally?

The basic requirements would be two relays and 2 aux outputs but depending on the load, this might be possible using a DEI 529t or simply a pair of DEI 528ts controlled by the lock unlock.

Sorry, I meant to add that we would need to know the power requirements, for instance what's it fused at?

Thanks for the response. What I have is a complicated lift that goes through several steps to fully open, everything is automated and is controlled by a small computer. In order to make the lift work I need to hold a magnet against a switch in the taillight. There are two of these switches one to make it open and one to close. I have to hold the magnet next to the switch throughout the whole process. I think I can simply tap into these two switches with some sort of a relay that has a timer built in.
The lift is very powerful and can be dangerous because it will crush anything that is under it when it opens. Because of this I would like to be able to stop the lift at any time once the open command is given.
