Does anyone know if the GWR output occurs before the Ignition output? The idatalink bypass module needs the GWR before Ignition in order to work. I put one on my test bench, but I can't find my tach simulator so I can't get it to remote start. Thanks

I believe it does.  Which Ultra Start model?  Which iDatalink module and firmware?    I have been using a lot of U1272s, U1175, G11s, U1270s with ADS TB, ADS DL and ADS ALCA with no issues.
Soldering is fun!

my sisters old ultrastart, the gwr did turn on before ignition.

hey kreg, thanks for the info about the compustar stuff. Im going to bite the bullet and buy it from the distributor. the antenna costs just as much as a new 1way start system, i dont beleive it.

btw, do you deal directly with ultrastart?

I am using 3295's and have been using ADS AL CA's for a few years and have never seen a note like this until recently. The vehicle I am installing the starter in is a 04 CRV. Both the AL CA and DLSL HA manuals have this note in their manuals. The note does say that if you cannot produce the GWR before ignition that you need to use a separate TB HA module for the bypass. I will likely just buy a TBSL HA or a PKH34 unless the vehicle has an alarm and the owner really wants to have control of that with the remote starter transmitter.
Thanks
