2004 mercury mountaineer video?

Hello all...

Ok,,,we installed a pioneer nav unit in a 04 mountaineer which has the ford factory rear overhead dvd/video piece. With the additional harness from metra 70-5520AV used, the rear dvd piece comes on then shuts off. Now mind you the rear dvd piece is powered by the front radio. we put the stock deck back in to test and all parts work great then. I'm thinking that the voltage out of the pioneer deck is higher than what the factory puts out to it. the factory sub amp has a turn on pop now after the pioneer deck install, i did find on that part that the amps only use 5volt to turn on not 12 like the new deck puts out. I just wanted some other opinions on this.

I'm thinking a resistor in line on the turn on wires going to the video and the amp piece should solve, Help please.

Cool...the amp pop solution is everything i've found and what you guys have suggested. its just the factory video issue, which until i get it back in there i'm unsure if the voltage issue is too high for the factory video system. All i know is once we got the 70-5520av harness the system lights up screen comes on then goes right off. factory deck works fine in it when hooked up.
