I had a toyota camry the other day with a plug HIGH in the dash. I wasnt able to solder it because i could barely even get my had up there let alone the iron there too. Do u simply just splice and tape it, is there a sideways solder iron out there, (ive been warned about t taps so i wont even go there i guess), etc???

as always thanks...

Trace the leads downwards and towards you or pull the instrument panel, wish I had $10 for every time I've had solder drip on my hands.

I'll take that further David, I haven't used my Weller gun in ages although the light is useful, I use at least 2 LED work lights and either a Pyropen or a Pyropen Junior for those "tight to get at" places.
