the DLPKGM will only bypass the passlock on your truck. it will not control the doorlocks, door triggers, etc. the 07 silverado classic requires a doorlock module and has multiple door triggers. using something like an idatalink ads al ca or xpresskit xk09 or dball will make the install alot easier

So if I just use the DLPKGM then I would have to wire in the doorlocks from the alarm whereas if I use an XK09 or ADS AL CA it will control the door locks through the data line?

Sorry about my last post. I would delete it if I could.

Here is what I meant to put.

DLPKGM - GM All Doorlock & Passkey Interface

The DLPKGM is a databus interface that is compatible with all Class II serial databus (J1850) type GM equipped vehicles.  The module will support transponder override of PK3 and PKT3+ immobilizer systems as well as support door locks, trunk release, factory security arm & disarm as well as many other vehicle specific functions.

The DLPKGM is D2D compatible which means it can be plugged into any one of our brands of remote starters for quick, easy and reliable installations.

The module is also updatable and can be flashed through our web site using the XKloader or XKLoader2.

The DLPKGM primary function is to operate as a doorlock and transponder interface, but can also control other feartures such as:

•  Factory Alarm
•  Parking Lights
•  Heated Seats
•  Trunk Release
•  Power Hatch
•  Window roll-up
•  Memory Seats

The DLPKGM is compatible with GM passive anti-theft systems, such as Vats, Passlock, PK3 & PK3+.

The DLPK can also provide outputs for the remote starter in W2W or D2D such as :

•  Tach

•  Hood Switch
•  Door Triggers
•  Trunk Pin
•  Hand Brake
•  Foot Brake

That's what I thought as well. It says passlock on the dei website, but in the full description it talks about all the other things it can control.

the DLPKGM has been known to not control doorlocks even though it says it does. had it happen to me on a few vehicles. the fact that xpresskit.com indicates that it does only passlock leads me to believe that it wont work on this truck. if you use it dont be suprised if your locks dont work. and this truck doesnt have regular (+) or (-) locks. you need a module or a full day to take both doors apart.

there are two difference platforms out there for 2007. the new body style and the classic
my guess it at the xpresskit search is showing for the new body style
the classic body style is still the same platform as the 2003-2006 models.
and the dlpkgm will do the doolocks and ever thing on them so. i would say that it will work just fine
after all you have it might as while try to hook up the bypass program it and then just trigger the doorlock wires and see if it will work.
take about 10 min it to get that far. just twist the wire for now

Woulds that be by doing quick connections to test or is there a way to bench test it before doing any work on the truck.

Not sure if I mentioned it before, my truck is a classic which makes it the same as an 06.

i can not think of a way to bench test it.
do it wire to wire mode for now
you will only need to hook up the 12v, negative and the purple obd2 wire of the bypass.
then you can program it with the directions.
after programing then you can strip the blue and Lt green of the bypass.
touch the exposed wire (blue or Lt green) to any ground source on the vehicle and see if the doors lock and unlock.
you will not have to solder at this time if it works then you can solder it.
if you still what d2d then just reset the module and when finished with install reprogram the bypass.
if you know where to get the power, ground should not be hard to find, and the obd2 port with be easy to find.
i bet it would only take 10 min. to test
