Hey all,

I am not a new member but had to re-up cuz... its been quite a while and the old one didn't work. I have a 5 pole single throw toggle diagram below and  would like to know how to hook it up. It has nothing but the numbers indicated. In the on position the switch lights up. With my meter I found which poles are active in each position. What I don't know is neg/pos and I am unsure which is source and why it seems to be enabled to power two sets of poles in either postion on or off? This is a 12vdc switch from a control panel for a cement mixer chute lock.

The ground might be connected to the outputs in off mode the light + will be commoned with either the 12 volt (24volt?) input or pin 6. Depending on whether the lights come on either when the switch is live or in use in either direction.
Usually as follows
Pin 1 = power in
Pins 2 and 3 ground
Pins 4 and 5 motor wires up and down
That's the convention for very similar electric window switches, but you and your meter have the answers.
