yes I connected at the ignition switch. Not sure I understand what you me about a SPST switch.  I understand why I cant connect to the wire off the DTRS because it supplies voltage to the relay and my safety input wire needs to be grounded.

connect a SPST switch.. one side of switch to neutral safety wire, other side to ground. switch on, remote start enabled. switch off, remote start disabled. useful when servicing vehicle.

Yeah, I sat here thinking about it while waiting for your relply.  I found a toggle switch in my electrical parts bin I could use.  Better than having to use parking brake everytime.  Cool.  Thanks.

I was always taught to forget the handbrake connection with autos, in fact I wired it to the REVERSE light.
An SPST simply means an on-off switch with 2 terminals.
