I am installing a viper 5901 and the dome light supervision only shoes (-) ALL THE TIME HELP!!

did you use a relay for the domelightsupervision?

if you didnt use a relay, you may have blown the circuit. the DLS wire can only ground a 200ma or less relay coil.

what vehicle, and how did you wire the DLS?

2010 Ford edge I used the positive dome light wire in the car and I did use a relay its allways on right out of the box.

if the DLS wire from the alarm shows ground all the time with nothing hooked to it, it is defective.

i would only test it with a meter.

using a test light (reverse or back feed testing) might damage it if the light draws a very heavy load on the output.
