The ADS AL CA flashed with the ADS AL(DL)-CH5 does not provide the Brake Pedal output for the Wrangler.  It wasn't listed in the features and I didn't check to see if it was present at the Orange wire.  ( Did a Grand Am where the trunk release wasn't listed for that year but did work...)  The Jeeps' (+)Brake signal was a very accessible WHITE/ Tan wire at the pedal.

Be advised that the ADS AL CA bypass module does not come flashed with firmware must be flashed prior to use via the ADS USB cable.  There are several iDatalink modules ( Solo Series in the orange box ) that come pre-loaded with firmware that will provide the same functionality.

I'm a big fan of the iDatalink modules.  Their Tach Output works well with the brands of remote starters I install.  Their install guides are very accurate & well written and their Tech Support is simply the best..

Soldering is fun!

Does iDatalink offer tech support to DIY installers. I know DEI doesn't. DEI makes some good products, but everything is geared toward the professional installer. 2007 jeep wrangler remote starter - Page 2 -- posted image.

I would not recommend using a CHALL, I've used a couple of them and most of the time they will not disarm the factory security system, I've used tons of FLCANs from Flash-It on Chryslers with very good luck, not an overly complicated install but it does require the unit to be flashed. Pretty sure it's almost identical to the idatalink modules.

Kreg,

Can you help me understand the parking light circuit a little more? By looking at the factory service manual for the Jeep, it appears as if the left side parking lights operate off a 15amp circuit, as do the right side. I would think the use of 8amp diodes wouldn't be sufficient. I would also think you would have to use a relay to activate the parking lamps since the Viper RS unit can only handle up to 10amps. I know I'm missing something since you've done this install before with no problems. I'm just trying to make logical sense out of it for myself.

Just posting this for reference in case someone else needs it. The canbus wires on my Jeep were:

Can Hi - WHITE/ Light Green

Can Low - WHITE/ Light Blue

iDatalink listed the wires as:

Can Hi - WHITE/ Black

Can Low - WHITE/ Light Blue
