hi all-
wondering if anyone has every done sirius instead of XM on this deck?
pioneer says the avic-z120bt does XM with just the module. in order to do sirius you add the sirius module plus a universal sirius tuner.
it looks like the deck was built for XM. i'm wondering if you go the sirius route (which i personally prefer) do you lose any functionality?
do you still get all the song/artist/station etc info? SQ the same as xm would be? does the XM icon/button get swapped for sirius or does it stay xm?
thanks for any input

I do know that you do lose some display information if you go with the sirius setup.

I've done both, no problems either way. You get full function with either. The Sirius simply uses the Sirius SCC1 tuner and an module to make the two comunicate. The XM is all in one and is huge. The Sirius and module together are half the size of the GEXP920XM unit.

The button will state "Sirius".

The deck isn't built for either, just a way of making them work. XM and Sirius are designed to work in different ways.
