My daughter has a 2002 Mustang with a compustar 1WAM4R starter/alarm system.  After the battery went dead I recharged but cannot get the alarm to shut off now.  Every time I go to get into the car to start it or open the hood the alarm goes off and I must pull the negative cable off the battery to stop the alarm.  Tried resetting the passive system with the key in the door (turning counter clockwise and then clockwise) didn't help.  Have tried everything on the compustar but do not even get lights to flash to say whether system is on or not.

Any help would be appreciated.

Get in the vehicle and cycle the ignition on, and off 5 times. Here is the manual for your system. Once you get the system shut off, you will have to reprogram the tramsmitters.
