I have a Sidewinder 6500 esp and was doing some pre-research on the install process. Here are some initial questions.

On page 24 of the manual, there is a section on the Shock sensor harness, 4-pin. My alarm didn't come with this sensor but did come with a DUAL stage sensor. The page shows how both of these sensors can be added to this circuit, can I simply replace the sensor I don't have with any DEI sensor and use the blue and green wires like it describes?

H1/6 is also an input for a sensor (the dual stage is specifically mentioned). Can I replace this with another sensor? And to add more than one sensor to this circuit, my understanding is that I should use blocking diodes, correct?

In place of a sensor, can I use a pin or other type of switch?

Is there a limit to how many sirens can be added to the Siren output?

In order to add more outputs, is a Channel Expander the best way?

Car is a 1973 Datsun 240Z with a small block chevy. I've installed the fuel injection harness, power windows and doors, and a Painless Wiring 18-circuit automotive harness.

1. Any dei dual stage sensor can plug into the shock sensor port.

2. I believe you are talking about the blue(-) instant trigger wire, so you can hook up your trunk, hood, or any other type of sensor you wish(if you want warn away then the sensor must be dei for the multiplex integration). If you are using multiple connections to this wire you should diode isolate them.

3. See above.

4. Off of the alarms output you can only have two, but you can use a relay and have thirty per relay.

5. You have two outputs on that alarm, one is validity and one is programble. If you need more then that then you will need a channel expansion module.
