I now go straight to the back of the instrument panel on Hondas usually they have separate door and trunk open warning lights, go to the switched side, i.e. with a DMM set to 20VDC, red probe to a 12V+ constant, black probe to the plugs at the back of the gauges, one will read 12V+ when any door is open, the other when the trunk/hatch is open, they also never trigger the warn away.

Thank you guys so much, I have just 2 more questions and my install will be complete.  due to my 40 watt solder iron not being powerfull enough to heat the ignition wires enough I had to wait until today to purchase a 100/140.

1) Howie, when you stated:

. Connect up the red, RED / white and RED / black.
Does this mean all three wires in to one? maybe connect all three to the +12v ignition?  I noticed some do this on the forum...

2) The orange GWA wire from harness 1, can that wire simply be grounded to the fram of the car? or does it connect to any specific component?

Thanks again!

Actually the white 12Volt CONSTANT not ignition.
Your second question, you obviously haven't read the instructions have you?
Don't connect it to ANYTHING in your install.

Ok, Ive got the H3's Pink, green and violet connected, just waiting on confirmation on the red, RED / wht and RED / blk.  Everything seems to be working well so far. The car will NOT start when the alarm is triggered so the start kill is now working.

Now does this diagram illustrate how the remaining wires should be connected?

The three: RED, RED / WHT and RED / BLK all tapped into the white costant 12?

no need for the orange and pink/wht correct?  remember I wont be doing the remote start portion.

Thanks a billion Howie, For my understanding what does the RED / wht, red, and the RED / blk do to aid the alarm installation?  I ask only because I left them untapped and my viper 5901 seems to be operating perfectly.. I will be connecting them as soon as the sun provides light. I'de love to know why they need the 12v power.

Thanks!!!

They would be powering the circuits for the remote start.

They provide the power for the ignition, acc and starter circuits when you use it as a remote start.

Thanks guys, since I won't be using the remote start portion of the alarm would any of the red, RED / wht or RED / blk? I'm only using this unit for the security/alarm function and don't want to over-connect any wires not needed. Thanks again?
