I have a pair of MOFO 124x and am debating on which amp/s to get. I would like the BAMF 4000D and run it at 1ohm. But then again I am thinking about getting a BAMF 2000D for each and run them in 2ohm. I'd get more power from the 4000, but better quality from the 2000s..... What are your thoughts?

well youd be saving around 100 bucks by just getting the 4000, and getting an extra 400 RMS.    so i guess the real question here is does sound quality matter to you or are you looking for the LOUD factor?   if youre just going for loudness then go with the 4000.   BTW. if youre wanting sound quality dont go with power acoustic.
