For my hdc3 Im building a box which is approx. 40"x22.5"x16.5. its just over 6^3 ft. my question is, for my double baffle is it ok if the top half is actually two pieces? cuase im runnig out of wood, but i have a long piece of mdf that i could cut into two pieces to add ontop of the single battle. feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you.

put a 45 bevel cut on ur joint an then liquid nail, clamp an a few screws in both baffles.
once liquid nail sets , the wood will tear apart bfore the glue will
hdc arent that common of a sub , thats kinda what i like stuff that most people never heard of, oh yeah gorilla glue is pretty gd stuff too
u could also cover the joint with another piece mdf an give it a stepped up look to the baffle
1000 watts of lp, now need sum hp an mids

not ideal but it will work if you do it right. plenty of liquid nails, screws and clamped tight for at least a day to make sure you have a tight bond between the two layers.
