hey i'm a newbie here buti need some help diagnosing a problem with my van. i ordered the PIE FRDN-AUX/S so i could use my ipod in the van. its not listed in the vehicles compatible but after researching and taking pics of the back of the radio, i was told by a retailer that this will in deed work.
so i get nit all installed and now when using the ipod interface i only get playback out of my passenger side speaker. i knpow its not a cable as i've tried a few of them, i know its not blown speakers as both sides work just fine when in radio or cd modes. any thoughts? suggestions?

If you use a regular pair of headphones, do you get audio in both ears?
Try switching the left and right channel of the RCA cable (RED / white) on the PIE box. If the audio moves from the passenger speakers only, to the driver's speakers only, then you have a bad cable or a bad connection between the cable and it iPod. Try a new cable of a different style. Sometimes the 1/8" headphone plug can rub against an iPod's case and not seat correctly, you may need a different style cable.
If you switch the left/right connection and the audio stays on the passenger side only, then the problem is with the PIE box itself, or the interface between the PIE box and the radio, or something else.
