Glad to hear all is well!!

Actually H3/9 is an input wire, getting its' power from a +12v constant source in the vehicle and is the power source for the Pythons' Starter and Accessory outputs ( H3/3 and H3/4 ).

Yes, the starter kill circuit is optional.  Leaving the vehicles Starter wire intact and just connecting the H3/4 Violet starter output works fine.  A lot of installers feel that the starter kill is a redundant safety feature ( and adds two solder joints and a relay as possible points of failure).  The cars alarm,  immobilizer and the aftermarket alarm are sufficient.  ( Anti-grind is a nice feature for some customers.   python 592 hd responder in sierra - Page 2 -- posted image.  )

Soldering is fun!

Oh,okay. I wish Directed would make the instructions a little bit more clear. I have only installed an autostart before but it seemed to have a lot more descriptive directions. I definitely like the directed product more though.
Thanks again.
