05 f350 rap

ok having one issue with a 2005 ford f350 superduty diesel king cab. previous owner had installed a matrix 1.2 r/s but got several things wrong so i corrected them and am just left with the radio shutdown after remote start times out or is shut down with remote.i know that the drivers doorpin has to be pulsed to shut off the retained accesory power but with the f350 there is no door pin input just a latch in the lock mechanism which shows the door ajar warning or triggers the domelight. i connected to the door latch wire to pulse after remote shutdown or for when the unit times out and that itself works fine and shuts off the radio however the vsm sees this as the drivers door not closed and unlocks the drivers door again. does anyone have an idea or two how to get around this issue.
