Hi all its me again
im thinking about setting the Clifford alarm up to auto start when the car gets to a low voltage level, as per the alarms built in features
from reading the manual it says that i need to connect it to a computer and adjust the settings manually in order for it to function.
however i did read on a forum somewhere may have even been this one that if you connect to a computer it can damage the alarm brain now is this just scaremongering for those that don't know a lot about electronics or is there some truth in this.
as they refer in the manual to connecting it to the computer i find it hard to believe you cant....
do the Clifford alarms come with a preset low voltage setting i.e if i just turn it on will it work ?

It's done using the Pro Wiz but since I believe you have a 650 based system such an AG 5.5, the Wiz will glitch up EVERYTHING! Don't bother, over the 15 odd years I've been using and installing R/S units, this has never come up. Come to think of it, it was possible with the older AG4 which was far more complicated than yours, it had a temperature sensor in series with the hood/bonnet switch,
