Does anyone remember these ancient DEI Hornet 554T? I thought these came with double pulse start so that you need to press start button twice to start the car. Long story short, this unit was put in valet mode for a long time because remote controls were lost. I finally got an older Avital remote control (FCC ID EZSDEI476) and programmed it. It's just plain 4 button control. Everything works the way I program. Except that I want having to press the start button twice to start the car. I can't find anything about double pulse start in the manual at all. The manual talks about standard configuration which requires pressing 2 keys simultaneously. But, I am looking for pressing one key twice or even having to press and hold the start key for about 2 or 3 seconds. Please let me know if you still remember or know how this can be done. Thank you.

No, I don't. I was actually thinking about that too. I just hate to spent $50 or $70 on bitwriter (eBay price) for one time use or even just to find out it can't be done.
