Im doing an 02 Audi S4 and i did a system in it and the engine whine is killing me. I put in a DD Jenson and a Bass Inferno EQ as well as a Sound Stream xover and a 940 O2 amp for the interiors and a 3500 O2 amp for the sub but i cant get the engine whine out. I used the factory wires to wire up the interior amp and i ran the power on the opposite side of the RCAs. The RCAs i ran are mobile spec if that helps. Some one told me to wrap the wires with alumium foil but i thought they were joking and when i ground the RCAs the noise got worst. Thanks in advance for an advice

If you turn the gain controls of each amp, all the way down, do you still hear the noise?  Why did you use a crossover?   Isn't there a crossover built into each of your amps?

Not on the EQ, but if you turn the gains of the amplifiers all the way down, does the noise go away?  If so, can you reach your desired listening level?  If not, turn the gain up till you begin to hear the noise again.  Then back it down slightly.  Then can you reach your desired listening level?
