I got 2 12" led strips that I plan on putting into the floor board to help light it up since there isn't any sort of light down there.I though I could just tap into the door pins, but whenever I try to screw the pins back in,they don't work. I unscrew the pins and they work again.Seems to be grounding out.I know it probably a simple fix,but I am just not seeing it right now.Anybody?

If you mean the courtesy light door etc switches, remember that they are open when the door is closed.
Also any voltage at that (grounding) pin is via the circuit - eg, dome light, dome dimmer or alarm inputs etc.
You probably need to supply your LEDs with (IGN) +12V and ground them to the switch - maybe with at least 1 else 2 diodes to isolate the circuit.
