I'm new to this forum and car audio. My local shop said they would give me deal on some Renagade power wire just wanted some opinions on quality  before I buy.  I tried using the search function but no avail. Thanks everyone all opinions are welcome.

You can run 4ag. sold wire, wire is wire is wire. DO NOT let any one tell you different. As long as its the proper ga. its all the same. Some is just more flexible then others.
I have known people who have used solid wire then used the fancy wire just to make it look good.

Solid wire is good to use in your house.  Not such a good idea to use it in an environment that is constantly moving, flexing and vibrating.  These 3 things will break the single solid conductor.  The reason it is advantageous to have more smaller conductors than having fewer larger conductors is flexibility.  Solid wire also puts unneccesary strain on the terminal blocks of your amplifiers.
