'94 Celica 5-Speed Remote Start

Hi, I've currently got a '94 Toyota Celica with aftermarket door locks and a Crimestopper CS-845RKE keyless entry unit that I installed. I really want remote start, but I'm not sure how exactly it works and what is a good alarm to buy. 1. To start my car, the clutch has to be pushed in, or nothing will happen when I turn the key to start, even if I have the car in neutral. Can remote start still be installed on my car since my car works like this? Also, is there some sort of a wire on a '94 Toyota Celica 5-speed that detects whether or not the car is in gear, so that if the car is in gear, it won't start, or will I just have to leave my car in neutral when I want to use remote start? I know there is for the handbrake(Actually, I'm assuming so, since when you pull it up, the brake indicator lights up on the car). I searched for "manual remote start" on the forums, but didn't find the answers I was looking for. 2. What is a good remote start unit with keyless entry? I realize that I'll probably have to buy an alarm to get the features I want, but I don't really want the features of an alarm, because no-one at school takes them seriously(including the parking lot security guards), and people at school love to set off car alarms for fun, so I'd like to be able to lock my car without arming the alarm. Below are the features that I want. - Illuminated Entry(my car's trigger is negative) - Remote Start - Window Roll-up features(for when I install power windows) - Ability to lock my car without arming the alarm, but still be able to arm the alarm somehow(I dunno how feasible this is...but I'd at least want to be able to lock my doors without arming the alarm if I get an alarm) That's about all that I can think of for now. Sorry for all of the questions, but I just want to be sure I know kinda what I'm doing before I start. ;) Thanks, Christian

its not a good idea to put a remote start on a standard shift for that reason...if you leave it gear.......BOOMGood Luck

I would only use the remote start at my house, because I'd always be able to remember to leave it in neutral in my garage. Are you implying that there's no wire that detects whether or not the car is in gear for a '94 Toyota Celica?

I just did some research, and I found out a lot of helpful information. I'm still curious as to whether or not my car has a wire that signals whether or not the car is in neutral. Also, what does everyone think of the Autopage RS-650 keyless entry/remote start unit?

Thanks. I saw someone on here who had made some sort of switches to see if the car was in neutral or not, so maybe I'll see if I can find the post and get ahold of them. Also, does anyone know if the RS-650 can lock the car without arming the alarm? I looked for some reviews and info but I didn't find much on this subject.
